I thought I would post about my work-in-progress building a facility in No-Man’s Sky. Here is part of my build, complete with flag, cuz we all know raising flags means you own a territory, right?
Anyway, as they say, location, location, location is the key to any architecture. I wanted to place my building somewhere that could incorporate both terrestrial and aquatic features. So, let’s head underwater to see what’s what.
Here we find the facilities that will house the scientific research. I chose lots of glass tunnels and large windows so my employees would be afforded lots of lovely views of the fishes. Hopefully that won’t be too distracting and they’ll still work on making weapons and stuff!
The entrance to my facility is underwater, and comes in the form of a cave entrance covered with a water-tight portal.
Here we see the glass tunnel that leads to my teleported room. This is the room I always materialise in if I take a teleported ride from another planet, space station, wherever such teleporters are found.
As I said, the facility is built both underwater and on dry land. I have made it so you can only access the ground-level parts by first finding the underwater entrance. Getting above ground requires a rather lengthy climb up a long ladder. Keeps you fit and healthy, I suppose!
Here we have the structure that houses the staircase that takes you to the main building of the above-ground part of my facility. It needs some work to pretty it up a bit, maybe by adding some logos or something so it’s not all monotonous gray.
And here we have an aerial view of the main part of the above-ground architecture. It has a couple of layers, and I intend it to be mostly for recreation. There is still much work to do on the interior, working on door-opening mechanisms, lighting, furniture, stuff like that.
Anyway, hope you enjoyed this brief tour of my No-Man-s Sky base!
