On the Cobbled Streets 📷

I love working for a global company, also because it gives me an opportunity to be in touch with colleagues from different locations all over the world.

The other day we were comparing how the daily life our team in NYC, Singapore, Berlin and Ljubljana looks like due to Covid measures now.

The colleague from Singapore mentioned that the city tightened the restrictions and reduced the size of group gatherings to two persons, hence everyone went out to party and socialise the weekend before this went into effect. While the measures like that are well intentioned, they probably do more harm than good.

Things are not as tight in Ljubljana. Currently everything works with the vaccinated/tested/recovered rule. The bars and restaurants are open, and I hope it stays that way, otherwise it will be a big hit for small businesses. It’s still very inconvenient for everyone who doesn’t fit into any of these 3 buckets, of course.

The tourist season is ending and there are less people visiting our city these days, and many locals also leave the city on the weekend to explore the rest of the country while taking advantage of the covid support vouchers - each citizen got 100 € this year to use them for touristic, culinary or cultural experience within the borders of the country.

I’m spending my vouchers on various concerts. It’s nice to see that the events are still happening.

The show must go on.
