I got back into trying to mess up the Super Mario 3 game. When I was a child the game became corrupted at some point.. there were pipes and objects everywhere, the game made weird music and the level was totally glitched.. I think we may have tried to clean it somehow and it corrupted it..
Now I am using game genie to try to find weird stages. I did that before with the move anywhere on map code where you go to a strange level in a couple of the pyramids. Usually when you try to enter a stage that your not normally able to you'll just get a blank screen... Using some world warp codes there was a strange stage.. An alternate version of World 7 with many squares on the bottom that are levels you can try to enter.. some of them are blank stages.. I have a video of couple of those..there were other stages too that I will make videos for in the future.
On the hack with randomizer I went to a strange level that looks like a desert level but everything is glitched weird. You cannot get through the level very well so I did the glitch where you swim in air and Mario is also glitched. I used the Mario 3 Debug Code to use the shoe at times!
I think I used a game genie code to make alternate levels for regular levels on this one. That code works real well for finding strange stages. On the hack I put bosses in mid level so was able to exit the level by defeating boss.. This one is from a flower in World 4 with the game genie code on. When you go to the screen after you defeat the airship the words thanking Mario are all glitched out and look weird! I love it
I was pretty happy with the results!! I had some fun finding weird glitch levels...but I went through the game a couple of times with the codes already so am going to give it a break..I did save quite a few spots where I found weird levels. Will post them in the future.
