I found a pretty neat glitch! Hadn't played my edited game for awhile. Decided to get back into it. I forgot I put a goalpost at the beginning of the level. When this happens it glitches the stage. The background gets all weird then you go to the mini-boss cut-scene. When you get there the sequence goes through except the flames which switches the stage to the next part of Act 1. I was able to do this by switching character icon through game genie and putting a goal post at the beginning with debug. In the edit I have bosses from Launch Base Zone Chasing you around!! When I go to the glitched level where I get stuck at the 2nd cut-scene if you destroy the bosses the flame sequence kicks in so you can advance the level!
The funny thing is when you get to the end boss of Angel Island. You get to Dr. Robotnik where he flames out the draw bridge. I always try to hit him with Sonic as he does this. When I try to jump at Robotnik the controller goes dead and Sonic falls straight down where he should die. Instead of death Sonic warps all the way to Mushroom Hill Zone!! Robotnik transforms into Egg Robo as you fall.

You will see the goal post I am talking about in the next video. Sonic gets to the midway boss on this video. After finishing off the mid bosses the screen locks.
The level is all glitched out!!
After the cut-scene you warp to the midway boss. I think these glitches are from the cut-scenes getting mixed up after defeating the Launch Base Zone bosses but you need to defeat them to trigger the cut-scene if you put a goal post at the beginning. I will take the goal post out for the game edit, I'm glad I got to experiment with it though. I still will for awhile. There is something I have not captured yet. If you don't drop down the hole when Robotnik fires the bridge Sonic acts strange. He is walking backwards and wonky. You can trigger Knuckles cut-scene to go to Hydro City Zone like normal instead of Mushroom Hill.
In this last video Sonic gets to the end. Sonic actually hits Robotnik before warping to Mushroom Hill Zone
