"Mongoose is a protected animal in my country (Bangladesh)"

Assalamu Alaikum friends,
We are constantly witnessing the extinction of many animals around us. Today I am going to write about an animal that is on the verge of extinction, the mongoose. Thanks to the @steem.ofanimals community for organizing such a series.

Animal population status (mention the name of the animal from which it came...)

I do not have the information to calculate the number of mongooses. Since I was a child, I have seen this animal around our house a lot and have seen it catching chickens from the houses of farmers. Generally, mongooses are considered enemies of snakes and rats. We almost saw a piece of a snake's body next to the agricultural land. It is basically a beji that catches the snake and cuts it into pieces and eats the snake's head. Even if it catches and eats the farmer's chicken, it benefits the farmer by killing rats. Beji is a mammal and is very, very fast.

Beji is a species of animal in Bangladesh. These animals can be seen in every country and were once very common in rural areas.

What causes habitat and environmental changes that make this animal face the threat of extinction or why has this animal become a common animal in that region or country.

I forgot how long ago I saw a mongoose. The number of mongooses in my area has come to zero. The reason for the destruction of mongooses is killing them and destroying their habitat. Mongooses usually live in burrows, which are very easy to catch from the burrows. In our area, the Sawtal tribes kill and eat these mongooses, due to which the number of mongooses is decreasing and is on the verge of extinction. The main reason for the destruction of mongooses is killing and killing by other violent animals.

Legal Status and Legal Protection .

Even if there is a law, due to lack of law enforcement or proper monitoring in rural areas, this animal is on the verge of extinction. In rural areas, the Sawtal tribe eats it after killing it. Like the Hazda tribe, they hunt and eat animals and also catch and eat chickens of the villagers, so they do not stop them either, as a result of which these animals are becoming extinct.

According to the 2012 Animal Protection Act, hunting, killing, smuggling and buying and selling wild animals are punishable crimes. If this crime is committed by anyone, he can be fined and imprisoned for 6 months. Even though there is a law, the law is not enforced for the wild animals living in these rural areas.

I think that more awareness should be raised among the villagers to preserve the animals of these rural areas.

I invite you @ulfatulrahmah @max-pro @memamun to participate in this competition.
