Assalamu Alaikum,
There are countless animals in this world, all of which we do not know. Of the animals that we know, many are endangered and are becoming endangered today. In the ongoing competition organized by the Steem of Animals community, I am presenting an endangered animal from my country, the pangolin, which is found in various parts of Asia and Africa. Today I am going to write about this endangered animal all over the world.

Animal population status (mention the name of the animal from which it came...)

Bangladesh is occasionally seen, but it is seen very rarely. I saw in the newspaper that pangolins have been seen or rescued in this region of Bangladesh. The pangolins that are seen in Bangladesh are mainly from the Asian continent. The species of pangolins that are found in Bangladesh are bred from the Indian subcontinent. We have a geographical and ecological connection with India, due to which most of the animals that are found in India are found in Bangladesh.

What causes habitat and environmental changes that make this animal face the threat of extinction or why this animal has become a common animal in that region or country.

The number of pangolins in Bangladesh is very small. In Bangladesh, the number of this species has declined significantly due to poaching for trafficking. The demand for its tough fiber is high in the international market, making it a target for poachers.

Every endangered species in Bangladesh is unable to reproduce due to the destruction of their habitat and habitat, and their population is declining. Many people do not know about this species and, due to ignorance, kill it, considering it dangerous, which is why the species is endangered.

Legal Status and Legal Protection (Mention the law that protects animals) .

According to the Wildlife Conservation Act 2012, hunting, killing, trafficking of wild animals is prohibited in Bangladesh. If anyone does any of these activities outside the law, he will be punished according to the law. The Wildlife Conservation Act has provisions for imprisonment and fine or both.

I think we need awareness to protect endangered animals and spread it. I see the role of wildlife photographers in Bangladesh in protecting wildlife. They tell many rural people to stop hunting birds and using harmful pesticides in agricultural land so that birds or other animals do not die due to the effects of pesticides. I hope that the law will be strictly enforced against those who disobey.

I invite you @arjinarahman @anowarhoussain @ashkhan to participate in this competition.

Your post is very good. It is very important to raise awareness about pangolins in Bangladesh, especially to stop their extinction. The Wildlife Conservation Act 2012 that you mentioned needs to be applied properly, and people should be made more aware. Thank you for sharing this important topic and mentioning me. I might join this contest too. Best wishes to you.

Thank you for your valuable comment.
