"Activist Diary Game" January 21, 2024.
A full day at Langsa City Forest Park.
This is the second time I have visited and traveled to Langsa City Forest Park. There is something different because usually I only travel to the beach or the mountains. Langsa not only has Mangrove Forests, this city also has several rides which are favorite family holiday destinations, one of which is Langsa City Forest Park. We went with 12 person using two cars, we moved at nine in the morning from Lhoksukon because the protected forest is located outside our city, it took two hours by car. This Forest Park has various types of flora and fauna that tourists can find. One of the most sought after flora is the Rafflesia flower which only blooms once a year.
Not only as a tourist attraction, this Forest Park is also the lungs of Langsa City which plays a role in reducing global warming. Almost noon we arrived at Langsa city, where the protected forest is located. The Protected Forest Park, located in the heart of Langsa City, offers something we rarely see. For example, various animals imported from various regions of the Indonesian archipelago and large trees which are almost extinct due to the actions of greedy humans who cut down trees in the forest carelessly, such as meranti, kerung, ironwood and others. Visitors are expected to maintain the cleanliness and preservation of the forest and the flora and fauna in it by not destroying or taking anything from the forest.
Geographically, Langsa City Forest Park is on Jalan Perumnas, Paya Bujok Seulemak Village, Langsa Baro District, Langsa City, East Aceh. To visit this place, tourists have to travel at least 20 minutes from the center of Langsa City. Langsa City Protected Forest also has various protected animals, such as deer, macaques, crocodiles and various birds which are rare because many people catch them for commercial collections. Actually, this is just a kind of mini zoo provided by the local government as an education for the younger generation, so that people will develop a love for protected animals which are almost extinct by irresponsible people.
We hope that the current situation will be of concern to everyone, especially the government. Everyone must care because almost 70% of Sumatra's forests have been destroyed by irresponsible people. What a huge risk we are taking, what do we want to pass on to our children and grandchildren with nature that has been damaged. Is there still pride in calling Indonesian forests the lungs of the world? It's all just a story because the reality is that nature is no longer pure. Hopefully useful and thanks for visiting my blog.
