Dear @patjewell:

I used to have my baby “Pechuga” (it’s chicken breast in Spanish), she was the smallest dog in the world (at least in my world), she barely reached 6 pounds and she was my first dog too, she slept on my chest and got lost between the sheets.

Pechuga passed away at 7 years old and I was devastated, so I spent 10 years of my life without having a pet. Sometimes I felt like I needed it, but most of the time that wasn’t even a possibility to me.

After those 10 years and some animal rescues, I understood something that wasn’t obvious at all for me: they always came back to you, but better.

Now I accidentally have the three most beautiful, kind a loving dogs on earth, they are three girls and each of them weighs more than fifteen kilos, we don’t fit in bed but they sleep with me every single night. Our love was so big (Pechuga and I) that it needed to came back to me in another form and in three newer bodies, so it could last a little longer.

Saying hi to papa

There’s something I always say to myself and other people when it’s about spoiled dogs: when I get older, my life with them have meant only a small portion of my life, because that’s what their bodies can take, so I wont regret anything, I wont hold not even a bit of my love for them and won’t pay attention to anything but my instinct, so when they leave this world, my heart will be full of gratitude and my memories full of love.

I will be crying amidst laughter because I will know that I gave them everything I had.

I bet you did the same for Lushka, so she will come back to you.

In the midtime, I send you all my love for you and your family so you can heal the only hurt dogs can cause (so yep, that's why they all go to heaven).

With love,
Silvia.

Dear Silvia

It was with tears in my eyes that I read your letter.
The love you had for little "Chicken breast" and now for the three bigger ladies in your life just shines through your post!
I salute you for your unconditional love!

Yes, I cried and I laughed. It all happened so quickly and unexpectedly that I was even cross. Now it is with joy that I can remember the good things about her, the memories we created, and yes, the thought that we will be together again.

We also understand now that she had to go to heaven to be there when her brother arrives because, without her, he is completely lost. She is preparing a place for him.

Thank you. I will convey your message to the men. I know they will appreciate it.

Your animal lover friend.

🐾 May they live forever in our hearts!

Hi @patjewell, I cried a little bit when I was reading your post about her passing away and writing the letter too, because one of my girls is +10yo and her face started to turned in grey and also, I know how hard can be making that terrible decision.
Now it's on you both to make the time of your life with Romeo, because sometimes when this things happens is when we start to realize how important is take advantage of every day.

Oh yes! Romeo is now the king of the house and he knows it all too well.

Oh yes! Let's not miss out on the pleasures of life!

You had a little dog and when it was very small it used to sleep on your stomach if you talk, it was really beautiful but it died at the age of seven or so if you talk. Very sorry for others your activity is very great working with them hope you get success.
