Step 1
I began my drawing from the beak (mouth) of the duck. After the beak, I drew the nostril and then the crown down to the neck. I also drew the eye at this stage
Step 2
I drew the body of the duck beginning from the back down to the tail and also from the breast (chest), abdomen and the under tail coverts
Step 3
I drew one of the legs from the shank down to the web and to the toe
Step 4
I drew the second leg beginning from the shank down to the web and the toe.
Step 5
Here I began the shading of the duck. I used yellow and brown colours to shade the beak, red colour and pençil to shade the nostrils and then brown colour on the head.
Step 6
I shaded the eye at this stage with a 12B pencil and an orange colour. Again, I shaded the head more with brown colour and I added a touch of black using a 12B pencil.
Step 7
I shaded the legs of the duck using yellow, brown and orange colours. I then used a 12B pencil to shade the nails of the toes.
*Step 8"
I shade the entire body of the duck using brown colour leaving part of the tail as white.
Step 9
I shaded the feathers using a 12B pencil, orange, brown and purple colour.
Step 10
I darkened the shading of the duck and added a touch of black to the lower part of the body which brought me to the end of my drawing.
