Flamingos are wading birds. They have long legs and webbs in their toes like ducks. They live in water that is salty or alkaline in nature. They feed on animals like snails.
What to note about flamingos

  • The group of flamingos is called Flamboyance
  • Flamingo can maintain static balance for up to four hours standing.
  • Flamingos can live for more than 20 years.
  • Their colour is the result of the food they eat.
  • Flamingos migrate like nomads when the condition of their environment is bad and at night.
  • Flamingos can drink very hot water close to boiling point.
  • The baby of the flamingo is called the flaminglet.

Step 1
I constructed a carton frame for the drawing. The frame measures 11 inches by 13 inches. I seal the rough edges with masking tape to make it look smooth.
