Hello, Steemian I hope you are as fine as I am. I want to thank @shahariar1 and the Steem of Animals for organising this contest. I am always glad when I use a pencil to draw and this platform has created this opportunity for me. Today I shall be drawing a chicken.

Chicken is a domestic fowl kept for its eggs or meat. It is a source of protein for man whether egg or meat.
An adult female chicken that has begun to lay eggs is called a hen while females that have not begun laying are called pullets. Adult males over 1 year old are called roosters while males less than 1 year old are called cockerels and baby chickens are called chicks.
Chicken feeds mainly on grains, insects and even
leaves.

Some Facts about Chickens

  • Hens communicate with their chicks while they're still inside their eggs.
  • Chickens have a great memory for faces.
  • Chickens are omnivores, not herbivores.
  • Chickens tend to their eggs carefully.
  • Like humans, chickens have colour vision and can see red, green and blue light. However, what makes chicken vision unique from ours is that they are also able to see ultraviolet light, which are the colours we see when using black light!
