Steem greetings to all the animal lovers on this amazing community. It is week 6 of the engagement challenge and this happens to be the last week of the challenge for season 18.

For this challenge, I will talk about adventurous trips to the Limbe Conservation center. The center is like a knowledgeable center where one can acquire lots of information about wildlife and the forest.

About to enter the conservation center.

Walking around the center, there is lots of information displayed on boards for visitors to read and get basic knowledge about these animals. At the same time, there is some sort of awareness raising displayed on cardboards to discourage the consumption of bush meat.

Awareness raising to visitors to protect wildlife.

An interesting story we were told about a chimpanzee that was stolen from Cameroon and about to be smuggled to Europe. Thanks to the South African government that caught the smugglers while passing through South Africa with the animal. South African government notified Cameroon government and the animal was returned to the center. The person that identified the animal coming from Cameroon was Shiela and the animal was named Shiela.

At this conservation center, you will be opportune to see about 13 different wig monkeys. Amongst them is the red mandrills, the drills, the patas monkey, tantalus monkey, baboon, chimpanzees, gorillas, the red capped mangabeys, etc.

The center also has a museum where artefacts of death animals are preserved for posterity. It also acts as a study hub with lots of books about conservation of animals.

While at the center I noticed that there are some sicknesses we acquire by consuming push meat. Not all bush meat is good for our health especially when acquired illegally. Eating push meat promotes zoonotic diseases which are a threat to our health and communities.

Indeed, it was a great adventurous trip to the conservation center and I will encouraged any animal lover to pay the center a visit and you will not regret it. I will invite @saxopedia, @majerius and @rafk to share their ideas about the topic.
