The above pet (dog) is own my landlord and the name of the dog is Smart. There is no day that Smart wouldn't come to my house because of how I used to care for him. He loves hanging around me more than his owner, and the reason for his coming towards me is because of how I used to give him food to eat.

As for today, as I returned home, I met Smart in my corridor waiting for me to return, and immediately as I took a step in he ran towards me and tried to embrace me which is how dogs usually do to those they like. Seeing the pet in my place I already knew he wanted food, so I gave him food.

Smart is a foodie pet and the food that I gave to him, didn't take him up to 3 minutes. Before I could enter inside and bring water for Smart he had already finished eating the food I served him licking his mouth and looking for more food to eat.

Recipe for Pet Food

The recipe for the food that I gave to Smart is okra soup mixed with Garri. I added meat with some bones in the food for smart to eat. The recipe is very delicious and we'll garnish it with varieties of ingredients. The good thing about dogs in Africa is that they can eat anything eatable.

Tell us about your experiences with feeding pets

Sometimes it is not easy to feed pets because the pets can turn out to make you feel sad which is one of the things that I dislike when it comes to feeding pets. There was a time I was given my own pet (dog) food to eat and as it got to the meat the dog almost jumped up and grabbed the meat from my hand. The pet almost beat my hands not that I noticed it quickly and jumped up. After that, I looked for a stick and hit it on the dog and he began barging for me.

Share tips on how to care for your pet and its diet

Caring for my pet or the pet of my landlord is very easy the easiest way is to make the pet my friend by always checking on the pet. Always check up on the pet whenever I am at home and I do give the pet something to eat.

Whenever I see the pet, it is either I give the pet water to drink or food to eat. Most of the time I will begin to play with the pet robbing my hands on his body to make him feel relaxed. When it comes to their diet I usually prepare it very well and serve him his plait which I ensure is kept clean always.
