I think the use of animals for human benefits, such as in the fashion, entertainment, and consumer products industries is a good way of making animals more productive for human benefits besides just eating animals.
Some places in the world do celebrate the animals festival which is all about displaying animals and using animals for fashion and entertainment people usually enjoy their time in such type of celebration.
Industries have been using animals for the production of bags, shoes, belts, leather, and other items that are worth using by humans this makes me think products that are manufactured using animals' skin are of higher quality.
What do you think about the use of animal products in everyday life, such as leather, fur, and ivory?

I think it is not a bad thing to use animal products in everyday life, such as leather, fur, and ivory. As I said earlier, products such as bags, leather, etc, that are manufactured using animal products have more quality than products that are not manufactured using animal products.
Even I have used a leather belt that was made using animal skin which I can tell you that the belt is the best belt that I have ever used. I used the belt for more than 5 years and got tired of it. No matter how the belt is been folded (twisted) nothing would happen to it.
What can individuals do to contribute to protecting animals from exploitation?

Caring for and rescuing animals from the hands of those who cannot take care of animals is the first thing an individual can, do to contribute to protecting animals from exploitation.
Another individual can contribute to protecting animals from exploitation is creating awareness about the harmful effects of animal exploitation so people can learn how to protect animals from exploitation. Teach those who have animals how to properly care for their animals.

It is interesting that you pointed up the use of animal products in higher end products. Have you found any artificial alternatives that are similar in quality? Your leather belt experience is a great example of how long animal goods last.
