Greetings, Steem Animal friends, today I want to share a video and some photographs captured in my studio of the Kukulcania hibernalis, a very common spider in homes, especially on roofs and in gardens.

It certainly looks menacing because of its legs and fangs. But don't be scared; these spiders are our friends. The Kukulcania hibernalis is not aggressive and rarely bites humans. Let's look at some of its characteristics.
Females are larger than males, reaching 2 centimeters in length, while males are smaller.
Its color ranges from dark gray, almost black, to dark brown tones. If you look closely, you can see silvery patterns on its body and legs.
They spin a flat, sheet-like web, which they use to capture insects on walls and floors.
They prefer to live in dark places where they feel protected, such as cracks in walls, high ceilings, and other places.
They hunt at night, taking advantage of the darkness to surprise their prey.
The Kukulcania hibernalis does not use venom to capture its prey. It quickly wraps it in silk, immobilizing it.
