I am describing some of our country's almost extinct animals as per the contest rules. A few days ago, I visited the Zoological Museum in Dhaka, the capital of our country. I saw skeletons of many extinct animals, including some that I had never seen. I spent about an hour photographing extinct animals at the animal museum. I have described some almost extinct animals and animal skeletons with pictures.
Royal Bengal Tiger:
The number of Royal Bengal tigers among animals is decreasing daily. When I was a child, I heard stories from my grandparents that the cows and goats of our house used to be taken away by the Royal Bengal Tiger at night. These animals are now seen in zoos. There are some Royal Bengal Tigers in the beautiful forests of our country. Due to big cyclones and floods, beautiful forests are being destroyed, and the number of Royal Bengal Tigers is decreasing.
As of October 8, 2024, 125 Royal Bengal Tigers are in the Sundar forest. Our country, Khulna, and our neighboring country, India, were home to the Royal Bengal Tiger. This animal is on the verge of extinction due to the decreasing number of Royal Bengal Tiger day by day.
African lions:
I went to the zoo and saw African lions. There are no African lions in our country now, but once, African lions were seen in our country's forests. We have heard many stories from elders about African lions in our childhood. The African lion is called the king of the forest. We have to take our boys and girls to zoos and show them African lions.
South Africa, Angola, Kenya, and Ethiopia are home to the African lion, which moves in groups. I went to our country's zoo and took detailed photos of African lions. Below is a detailed description of our country's almost-extinct African lion.
Giraffe:
Giraffes are extinct in our country. I went to the zoo and saw giraffes. I have learned from reading books and stories that giraffes can be seen in the beautiful forests of Khulna district in the south of our country and in some parts of India. Giraffes are one of the largest animals. We do not see their existence except in zoos.
Giraffes are native to South Africa. Some live in our country's beautiful forests. Giraffes are not carnivores; they eat grasses and leaves. Giraffes look very beautiful. I have included the giraffe's habitat and details in the picture below.
I visited the zoo museum and saw many skeletons of extinct animals. I have given below pictures of skeletons of some marine animals, including leopards and black tigers. The animal skeletons in the museum are officially preserved for the next generation to see.
