When I was in elementary school, I often read fairy tale books with various titles. There are stories about the mouse deer and the crocodile, the story of the tiger, the adventure of the turtle and many others.
Actually, I really like all fairy tales in the fable genre. One of them is the story of The Ugly Duckling. This fairy tale really caught my attention and to this day I still remember it well.
The story begins when a mother duck hatches her eggs (ten of them). One of the ducklings that hatched turned out to have a strange or unattractive physique. Every day the duckling is bullied (taunted) by his friends and community.
Until one day the duckling left (ran away) and arrived at a magical pond. Suddenly he looked into the water of the pond, how surprised he was when the duck looked into the water. He saw his own reflection, it turned out that the duck was a very beautiful and beautiful white swan.

I can't conclude whether fairy tales have influenced my life or not. I just live my life as it is according to destiny and always istiqomah in living it.
I sometimes feel that some fairy tales are similar to reality in my life. Maybe that's an influence I'm not aware of. But what is certain is that I believe that what we have learned can sometimes influence some of our personal lives.

From the story "The Ugly Duckling" I have learned many life lessons. How I must always have a confident attitude and not give up easily.
I must always be ready when there are people around me who try to bring down me in cunning ways. The point is, I have to be patient and strong in facing all of life's trials.
