Love for animals is a noble virtue. Animals are never ungrateful. They show proper love to their caretakers. Keeping cats is a noble virtue. Companions of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) kept cats. Also, according to the hadith, love for animals helps people move towards paradise. May Allah accept you.
