Animal population status (mention the name of the animal it comes from

A special subspecies of tiger is known as the Royal Bengal Tiger. This tiger, which has the largest number of tiger subspecies, is mainly found in the Sundarbans of Bangladesh and India.

The Sundarbans is knowns as the last haven of the Royal Bengal Tiger. This animal has a special status in Bangladesh. And therefore the Royal Bengal Tiger has been given the status of the national animal of Bangladesh.

The good news is that in the last few years, the number of tigers in the world's largest mangrove forest, the Sundarbans, has increased and according to the latest survey of 2023-24, the number of tigers in Bangladesh is 125.

In the previous survey, the number of tigers in Bangladesh was 114. This is a rare species of tiger that is not found everywhere. So the increase of 11 tigers over the previous one is good news for Bangladesh and the rest of the world.

What causes habitat and environmental changes so that this animal is threatened with extinction or why this animal has become a typical animal of that region or country.

The Royal Bengal Tiger is an endangered species. There are natural and man-made reasons behind this animal becoming endangered.

Natural disasters: Natural disasters are one of the reasons for the endangerment of this special subspecies of tiger. Their number is decreasing day by day due to climate change.

Different kinds of natural disasters are happening more often as a result of weather changes. Due to disasters such as floods, storms, etc., the tiger's shelter is being destroyed.

Deforestation: One factor contributing to the decline of tigers is the destruction of forests.

Illegal hunting: Since tiger skin is very valuable, many people hunt tigers illegally in the hope of financial gain. As a result, the tiger population is decreasing.

Lack of food: Tigers are starving for natural food due to a variety of natural and man-made causes. As a result, they frequently enter localities in search of food. When tigers enter a community, people frequently kill them.

Legal Status and Legal Protection (Mention the law that protects the animal)

Conclusion

The contribution of tigers to the forest ecosystem is undeniable. As the top predators in the ecosystem, they help control the number of animals in the forest by hunting other animals.

When the number of herbivores in the forest is controlled, the plants in the forest get a chance to grow. To keep the ecological environment of the forest healthy and to save the environment, we should preserve the Royal Bengal Tiger.

In addition to the natural environment, arrangements should be made to preserve and breed them by bringing them into an artificial environment. We should work to make the Sundarbans a sanctuary for this critically endangered rare species.

I would like to invite @slon21veka, @lirvic, and @helengutier2 to participate in this competition.
