“Steemit Engagement Challenge S11-W4 | Happy World Cat Day”

Hello friends and family accept special greetings from my home country Cameroon.Once more welcome to my own blog, as I participate with my entry in this week4 Steemit Engagement. Organized by steem of animals for us to share our knowledge about the said topic “Happy word cat day”.

In our world today pets most especially cat and dogs are kept in many homes.As animals they desire much pleasure to live with around them.While some people may not find any comfort being seen animals as pet around their environment base for personal reason. Notwithstanding I will be giving my answers based on the guidelines given for this topic below 👇.

In my country , the rate of keeping pets in various come is alarming .Only few people have pets around them at homes .Majority of the population in my country don’t like pets either cat or dog , they find no pleasure in it .Most these pets you see them abandoned on streets and no one cares .At times some people chased them away or even kill them .

As for me to be sincere, I have never been a lover or keeper of pets.Since childhood uptill now, I can remember having pets around me but in our house because my father love dogs as pets .One morning we got up and saw our dog lying death.From the investigation made the dog was poisoned if you ask me why I can’t explain.All I know is people in my community don’t love pet .Since then, my father never brought another pet home.

Also, in my country even with the hatred of pets by the majority of the population.The government have never made any law to protect animals like pets around .You find it very normal for some stop visiting you in your house because you have pets because it scary to them .People feel pets should not live among people but in the bushes.

I won’t say cat are unconditional friend , the fact am not a lover of keeping pets like cat at home or around me.Doesn’t mean there are not friendly.Few people I see them keeping cats in my location , there always find so friendly.lThe fact that I don’t keep pets doesn’t mean they are unfriendly.
I rembered one day visiting my friend at her place .I never had idea no she has a cat in the house .

Immediately I entered in the house with my son .I started shouting, because I find it scary to me , trying to run out my friend locked the door.I was so angry and not myself as the cats was jumping around us .I discovered my son was interested with cat and started playing with cats.From this incident I learned even though I don’t love pets cat can be friendly .

I think eventhough, many people in my country don’t like cats .I believe the few that keep it around them hardly complain negative things about cat as pet .It May only be about the stereotype mind we have about cats .I think it necessary for the government of my country to put majority protection pets like cat in my country .

Rather, than chasing these pets alway to bushes or killing them.I think the have the right to be protected and to live for those that love it keep it without no fear.Then one thing I noticed some claim they love cat but while keeping it they don’t take good care of it .For me I see not need of keeping something you can’t take good care it.

They are myth developed in my community especially in villages.People believe that Wicked people or spirit devils moved around in form of cats and dogs committing atrocities in peoples homes.Also, some believed people die an come out in form of cats and dogs as spirit move around and disturb people .That why I earlier said majority people in my country and community have a stereotype mind about keeping pets at around them.
