WHAT IS STRESS?
To a biologist stress is an Aggression toward an organism resulting in a response in an attempt to restore previous conditions, emotional pressure suffered by human beings and animals.
For us to manage stress effectively we have to think about our physical well-being, the way we interacts with others, our goals and priorities in life is indeed important to consider.
HOW TO DEAL OR REDUCE STRESS:
TRY AS POSSIBLE AS YOU CAN TO LIVE ONE DAY AT A TIME.
- Never worry about the next day because daily anxieties are part of life, so do not increase today's anxieties by adding tomorrow's to them. So try to live one day at a time.
- understand that sometimes things don't turn out the way we may fear they will, so stop fretting over things you cannot prevent, because it increases stress.
DO NOT BE A PERFECTIONIST:
- Avoid setting high and unrealistically standards for yourself and others.
- Be moderate in everything, set reasonable standards, know you limitations and those of others, doing this will reduce stress and even encourage Greater success.
- keep your sense of humor, laugh even things goes wrong because with this you will be relieving tension and brightens your mmode.
IDENTIFY WHAT STRESSES YOU
There's a wise saying that "A discerning man will remain calm"
- avoid nagative emotions because it can cloud clear thinking, so try to stay calm.
- know what stresses you and note how you response. For example when you feal stressed, note your thoughts, feelings, and behavior, you may even make record of them. When you're aware of your response to stress you may likely deal with it more effectively.
- Also think of ways to eliminate stressful things from your life, if eliminating is not realistic look fo ways to reduce their impact, perhaps by managing your task or time more efficiently.
TRY THINGS IN A DIFFERENT LIGHT
What stresses you may not stress someone else. The difference may be in view point; so don't be quick to assume bad motives.
- the the positive side of situation, for example a long wait at a doctor's Office or an airport is easier to bear if you use the time to do some reading or to catch up on work or email.
- Keep big picture in your mind ask yourself will this problem be a big issue tomorrow, distinguish between minor or short-term issues and more serious ones.
MAINTAIN ORDER IN YOUR LIFE
- Do not procrastinate because it contributes to disorder and stress. Procrastination may lead to a growing list of unfinished tasks, make a practical schedule and stick to it.
- identify & correct any attitudes that cause you to procrastinate.
- pursue a balance lifestyle, don't be a workaholic because it will deprived you of time and energy to enjoy what you're working for.
- make time to relax, do the things you enjoy, it will help you to relieve stress, not a passive recreation such as watching tv, it may not help.
- keep technology in it's place. Avoid constantly checking on emails, texts, or social media sites. Unless circumstances require it. Do not check work related email outside of working hours. For more information click 👇👇👇👇👇👇
