Animal induces diseases

Disease agents, or zoonotic diseases, are ailments that scourge human beings and originate from animals. These diseases can be caused through biting, through consumption of contaminated food, animal waste and other means. Classic examples of animal-induced diseases include rabies, a viral infection that spreads mainly through the bite of infected animals such as dogs and bats, and salmonellosis as a result of taking contaminated foods such as undercooked meats or eggs. Others are Lyme disease, which is caused by an infection from a tick that bites, and avian influenza that is associated with mammal diseases contracted through contact with infected birds. Spreading of these diseases is of great public health concern in areas where a lot of human-animal interactions occur. Proper hygiene, pet vaccination and safe animal management would help to halt the surge of the diseases caused by zoonosis.
