Mohsena Akter, Chief Nutritionist of Gonoshasthaya Nagar Hospital and Professor of Food and Nutrition Science Institute of Dhaka University gave us information on this matter.
He said that the sunshine between 10 am and 3 pm every day is a very good source of vitamin D.
When you go outside and see that your shadow is shorter than yours, that's when your skin can best produce vitamin D in the sun.
But in our country(Bangladesh ), most of the people have dark complexion. It is a hindrance in the absorption of vitamin D in the body. Because brown skin has more pigment called melanin Melanin blocks UV rays. Those with fair complexions should be in the sun for 20 minutes every day.

To get vitamin D, the skin must be exposed to direct sunlight In that case, clothing or sunscreen directly inhibits the production of vitamin D in the skin. So, even if you go out with sunscreen on your face, make sure that your hands and feet or any other part of your body is exposed. Try going out in the sun occasionally without sunscreen.
With age, the ability of the skin to produce vitamin D decreases As a result, bone loss also increases with age. After starting to grow old, you should not sit at home all the time and apply sun regularly
