Understandably, influencing has garnered a bad reputation. But with the right algorithm manipulation, by simply supporting your interests through likes, comments, reposts, shares, and more, you can curate a better social media influence for yourself. I believe that one’s personality shines through or is dependent on the social media they consume. Some of my favorite social media influencers are:

• Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie
Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie is a successful, international, Nigerian writer. Her books or should I say writing, is the type that you have been searching for a lifetime and once attained, fall into a peaceful rest. Mrs. Adichie holds interviews and seminars and has now grown a strong social media presence.

• Mr. Cliffe Knechtle

Cliffe Knechtle is an American pastor and apologist who is known for his campus outreach, winning young souls for Christ. I am all the way in Nigeria, I’m not sure he’s been here. Otherwise, I would have known. Fortunately, with the use of social media, he has grown his influence, calling people to redefine and strengthen their faith.

I identify with Chimamanda a lot, based solely on the fact that she is a writer. We are from different tribes, she is older, more political, outspoken, but I resonate deeply with her writing and speaking. It is aspirational, to say the least. She is articulate and confident. Who would not help being influenced?

On my social media networks, I would personally love to see cinematic vlogs and short films, more writing professionals and newbies to connect with, teachers on the subject of history, philosophy, sociology, accurate news, Christian sermons, music, and everything in between.

I think that an influencer needs a working cellphone and laptop, a blueprint and their wits about them. It has to come from them, and not a created collage of the internet, a clone, or a sappy cliche.

I think an influencer can grow on steemit as much as on other social networks, through strict content organization. There is so much untapped potential here waiting for those who will take it.
