The Diary Game 18/6/2024: Shopping for the holidays

I've really taken a liking to this diary page now, so I want to share with you about yesterday and how I'm preparing for the upcoming holidays, which will be in a very interesting European city that many of you surely know.

Yesterday I left quite early because unfortunately, traffic has been really heavy lately. I headed to a shopping center because I needed to buy some technical gear for this vacation. I bought a technical t-shirt and some water bottles that will definitely be useful for staying hydrated in the scorching heat that I expect next month.

I must say, these shopping places are very convenient. Besides finding parking fairly easily, they have air conditioning inside, so it's really comfortable. In these days, Italy's temperature is rising rapidly, and we've already exceeded 30 degrees Celsius.

In this worldwide store called Decathlon, a well-known French chain, you can find anything related to sports—from clothing to equipment and bicycles, as well as gym gear. Though, compared to a few years ago, things used to be quite affordable at very reasonable prices, lately, the prices have gone up a lot, and in my opinion, the quality of the clothing being sold has also decreased.

After that, I stopped by another nearby shopping center and took the opportunity to buy some groceries, like fruits and vegetables. Ironically, in Italy, you can find them at better prices in these grocery stores than directly from the farmers selling them retail, which is quite strange but unfortunately true. Probably because these stores can buy large quantities and therefore offer lower prices.

In total, I spent about 116 Steem on two t-shirts and two water bottles. For fruits and vegetables, even though as you can see from the photos I didn't buy a lot, I spend 27 Steem.

What do you think about the prices? Are they expensive?
