The Diary Game: Resumption Day || 13.01.2025

Hey, friends of Recreative Steem, I am excited to be writing in this special community once more.
Resuming for work after the holidays especially Christmas holidays is always tiring. But it usually turns out interesting because we get back to see our colleagues, friends and people we didn't see for a long time.

The nostalgia that came with it was also special....Early in the morning, the alarm reminded me that it was time to resume for work. The 5:30am alarm didn't stop blaring in my ears, I had to wake up lazily to turn it off. I had my morning prayers and jetted off to do some chores and prepare breakfast.

I had breakfast before getting dressed in a shirt, tie and trousers...I always want to look good and smart while going to work.

I went quite early and got prepared for the day, I got to welcome my colleagues who came in later but one of my colleagues wasn't in school because she was ill.

It was a dry and cold morning due to the harmattan season. We had devotion with the kids and then they all went back to their classes.

We had a new kid in the block, he couldn't stop crying and that reminded me of my first time in school...mom is still shocked how I have glimpses of that day because I did tell her the events that happened.
Well I also cried on my first day in school...so I tried to help the poor lad to adapt to his new environment. He continued crying notwithstanding my pleas for him to stop crying.

I resumed the day with the kids, trying to know how they all enjoyed their Christmas holiday. Everyone had a thing or two to say and that made the class fun to be.

We started the classes for the day and I taught them addition and subtraction of decimal numbers. It was a great opportunity to pass knowledge to them and they were so eager to learn about decimal numbers.

Soon it was break time and I had to go eat food. I went to my favourite spot to have grilled chicken with plantain and vegetable sauce. It was yummy.

After lunch, I went back to class to give the kids home-fun to evaluate them on the day's lesson.

We've come to the close of School and some of them went home alone while others were taken home by their parents. It was lovely to see my pupils again.

I took some pictures with my colleague who also came to take a few shots.

I had to pack and arrange my table before rushing home. On reaching the house, I had to change before visiting my colleague who was ill. We had some time to talk and I also told her that she will get back her strength. She was quite happy that I visited.

In the night, I had a class online, which was centred on my onboarding to learning Data Analytics. I spent 2-3 hours trying to get acquainted with the environment and I learnt a few things also.

I had an exciting day and it was the perfect resumption day. I had fun with the kids, welcomed them and also with my colleagues. I enjoyed grilled chicken with plantain and also visited my colleague who was ill. I think I had a wonderful day on resumption day.
