Last October, we had a seminar about how to make a Mathematical Investigation and Modeling. It is a bit like reseach paper. As they said, it is a baby thesis. Only three of us in our school were asked to attend the said seminar. And we were so previleged to be chosen. In this manner, we were able go grow proffesionally. Though the topic was a bit hard but we were still thankful for the opportunity. During that time, we were asked to make an output, and we were assigned to make a Mathematical Investigation.

Then, last saturday December 3, we were called again for a Math Congress. We were asked to defend our output. And they made it as a contest. What made me felt nervous that time were the board of judges who were the head of the Department.

I am the one who presented our paper and after the 7-minute presentation we were asked to remain in front and the judges will ask questions that we needed to defend.

The following were the format of the said Mathematical Investigation:

1. Title Page
2. Introduction
3. Situation
4. Statement of the Problem
5. Gathering of Data
6. Testing
7. Proving
8. Summary
9. Extensions

And this is now our paper, and we tried to investigate the "Triangles Formed Using the Diagonals". And luckily from our paper, we got the 3rd Place- Best in Paper. And we were so glad and a big shock because among the 6 contestants we were able to place that category.

We were also asked to make a poster, and we guess it is really our day because we were able to get the 3rd Place-Best in Poster. Our weekend was really paid off. We haven't made our saturday our rest day due to some calling to school but we were still grateful for the opportunity to grow professionally plus we were able to win twice.
