Imagine the joy that the little children felt on this special day. It is always a long awaited day for them and they wait expectantly for it.
This day is the end of every school year.
In Nigeria the school year ends in late July and begins September. At the end of every school year a party called graduation party is held in the school, this is graduation from a current class to a new class and so the little students are happy when the day is drawing near.
For those in grade 5/6 of primary school, it means moving to secondary and they are among the graduates, also there is Junior secondary school graduates moving from junior to senior secondary and lastly the senior secondary moves out of the school to attend a university of their choice.
My cousins were super excited that their graduation party is the next day. They barely slept in the night and they kept waking up and asking if it is dawn already. Wizzyboy3 is in grade 5/6 of the primary and was going to graduate to secondary while fortwis09 was going to graduate to senior secondary.
Finally the dawn arrived and they set out of the bed to prepare for the school party. Already thy had their things set for it the previous day...
And soon the were all dressed up for it, thankfully I was able to complete the skirt for the suit Fortwis will wear and as well make the bow tie for Wizzyboy3.

They soon left the house after giving them their breakfast and they got to the school before the party began. After that I also started to get ready to go with my aunt and her husband and soon we got to the school venue to meet the children.
Arriving there they already started to make some presentation, some educative topics like "Should parents influence their children's career" and others were presented there by the children.
The children in the graduating classes were giving their graduation gowns to wear.
There were also dance presentations from the children. Both the local traditional dance and the Nigeria Afrobeats music dance were presented by the children.
Carefully selected children were called upon to dance for the audience and the graduants.

After all the dance presentations and certificate giving to the graduates, the party was soon ended.
After the party the report card for he children's grades are giving to them or heir parents. We headed straight to the principal office to get the report cards for my cousins and happily Wizzyboy3 made it to the top while Fortwis09 was the third in her class. They got excellent grades and they were very happy for it and they were taken to the mall to celebrate it.
This is how the party is celebrated every end of the school year, at the end everyone goes home happy and proud of the kids for their success. The children always wish for this day to come and not end even those who are not among the graduating classes. I also had great fun there and I'm sure you, dear reader would have enjoyed it if you were present there with me 🤗.
