Steemit Engagement Challenge: Creative Plastic Bottle Craft by @mjerry

Hello everyone, it is yet another privilege for me to participate in the season4 steemit engagement challenge where we are asked to make a craft out of plastic bottle. Is not about making the craft but the need to create initiatives to reduce disposal of such material because of its harm to the earth.

There are many advantages of recycling plastic bottle which include savings, value change, recreation of the plastic bottle and many others but basically, reducing its impact to the earth is most paramount. The plastic rubber takes millions of years to decompose on the soil therefore causing harm to the earth, instead of disposing it, the idea of recycling it is very important as it will even reduce deforestation and extraction of raw material from the earth.

I will be creating toothpaste/toothbrush holder with a plastics bottle, the idea is aimed at enhancing proper maintenance of the toothpaste/toothbrush.

Maintaining proper mouth hygiene is very important because it prevents us from contacting some germs unknowingly, when our toothbrush and toothpaste are properly maintained, it prevents Rat, lizards or other insect from contaminate them before use. Historically, the outbreak of some pandemic /epidemic infections (e.g Lassa Fever, Coronavirus, cholera etc) originated from intake of contaminated substance through either what we eat or use in our mouth.

Let us not only reduce disposal of the plastic but recycle it for personal hygienic purposes which will also save the world. Follow me as I show you how to create the toothpaste/toothbrush holder from a plastic bottle.

I properly wash the container with warm water to disinfect it from germs then proceeded to craft out the toothpaste dispenser by using the small container;

The above steps brings out the rough part of the toothpaste dispenser.

• Created an opening to fit in the toothpaste depenser in the bigger plastic bottle.
• I then make a provision for the toothbrush holding holes.
• make some tiny round holes with my nails which will serve as dropped water exit holes.
