I will be sharing with you my entry to this week's engagement contest organized under the RECREATIVE STEEM Community with the title being: "The Music That Moves You".

Me singing and dancing along; Believe Me by Johnny DrilleMusic is a crucial part of distinct moments of our lives. Music spreads happiness and joy in the life of anyone and everyone. Music is the essence of life which gives anyone immense peace.

Music is a universal language of life, It is something that everyone enjoys. Music is powerful enough to cure ailments such as anxiety, depression, and insomnia. believe that life would have been incomplete and different without music.
Music has the power to make one feel happy, even in sad moments. A lot of different genre of music makes me get up from my chair to sing along and dance. Genres such as Afrobeats, Reggae, RnB, hip-hop music, rap music, and Christian music.

Currently, I sing and dance along to an Afrobeat tune from Johnny Drille, titled Believe Me. It's a very good tune that I always find myself not only singing along to but also demonstrating and dancing.

Christian Hip-Hop (CHH) music is dedicated mostly to me by my friends. Songs from the likes of NF, Datin, Lecrae, and Bizzle that edifies the gospel of Christ through music. They know I love such songs so they always call out on me like, "Sahmie, your song is on the radio" like I sang the music, Lol 😆. I am also a big fan of Giveon, Jacob Banks, and Phora.

I think I have a few songs I have dedicated to certain friends that when I hear that song on stereo, radio, or anywhere my mind zooms straight to certain persons in my life. Then, some songs remind me of my childhood.

What kind of music do you listen to at home? |

I listen to any good song I find, I don't reject music at all, I think I listen to a lot of genres I can find. Ranging from Gospel, Country, Folks, Blues, Metal, Rap, and Reggae to Afrobeats. Just name it, my playlist contains every good sound I can get and I play these songs depending on the mood am looking to attain or the mood I am on.

Gospel music from the likes of Viktoria, Samsung, and Eben is music that engages me on a personal level and makes me understand that God loves us all, and I get to play this when I'm feeling grateful for life.
Every song I play, or music I dance to has its special place and moment in my life, I relate a lot with NF's music like he said music is therapy for him, and I feel the same too. If I'm allowed to brag, I would say am his biggest fan as I have all his albums on all my devices.
Activities you do while listening to music |

Virtually every activity requires me to listen to certain music as I feel it helps motivate me. I even go to the extent of listening to certain sounds even when am studying whereas other people require tranquillity. For me, the following activities are never done without music.
• Household Chores
• Exercise
• Laundry
• Relaxation, and
• Creating content.
These activities also require different tunes as the motivation factor behind them.
If you could write a song, what topic would it deal with? |

If I could write a song, it's most likely going to be on the topic of Love and Oneness. The message would be to pass a message across why we should love one another and what oneness could bring among us. Behind the color of our skin, behind our race, behind our beliefs, we are all humans and we all need each other to grow. So yes, why not come together as one and make the world a better place?

I can't even imagine life without music as music is the essence of life. There is music in every one of us, is there anyone among us who hasn't released an album in the Bathroom already?
