It shows me relevant pictures around what I actually find compelling. I can lose hours on it if I wanted to. But there's also many downfalls like ads every 4 posts, an algorithmic homepage that only feeds me content from users I have interacted with.
There are a lot of times that I wonder if a friend or someone I follow has stopped posting on IG and they actually haven't, but rather IG hasn't been pushing their content to me. Giving users what they want feels like a double edged sword on Instagram because the longer you stay on the app, the more chances you will see ads and maybe purchase an item.
One of my favourite things about Appics at the moment is I'm only on Appics a few times a day. I know someday that will change and I'll be addicted to the app (and maybe they might incorporate some algorithms) I just hope they don't sell me ads ✌️

I feel algorithms are good, as they help a user Explore more of what they like...
So i don't mind it in my feed...
But I'm very confident that Appics won't Sell Ads(in the feed) in tye future.. they will create a marketplace (to buy with APX tokens) and they have a "Discover" feature already in the App - where they may place Ads...

Basically algorithms are machine learning which is a basically younger version of AI and this would be also according to the "Social Dilemma" documentary which by now most of us should know that AI runs pretty much everything in the world as it is now.
