This is the case in relationships.
If both parties continue to abuse and mistreat each other, there will come a time when their relationship will break, and it will happen very soon. If one party will always be wronged and the other will always be wronged, then the relationship will remain like holding on to a rope, but the one who is wronged will always be at the mercy of the wrongdoer.

But if both parties refrain from any kind of abuse and are gentle with each other, then their relationship will last forever.
