You try to open the door to the stairwell but somewhat annoyingly, you can't force it open. There appears to be something heavy blocking it from the other side and you hope that the opposite stairwell isn't blocked too.
You decide to check the corridor again and are relieved to see that it's all clear.

You open the door to the stairwell and are pleased that the landing is clear. As you close the door behind you, it clicks shut and you realise there's no way back, you're only option is to head downstairs.

You quickly head down the stairs and bump into a zombie. This is an unwelcome surprise and once again, you have another fight on your hands!
The zombie strikes first and hits you with all of their strength, reducing your Health by 1.6.
You start to fight back and you catch the zombie with your Baseball Bat reducing the zombie's Health by 5.
The zombie fights back and barely touches you, reducing your Health by 0.6.
You attack again and you barely hit the zombie with your Baseball Bat reducing the zombie's Health by 1.
The zombie fights back and catches you with a glancing blow, reducing your Health by 0.8.
You attack again and you barely hit the zombie with your Baseball Bat reducing the zombie's Health by 1.
The zombie fights back and hits you with all of their strength, reducing your Health by 2.
You attack again and land the perfect blow with your Baseball Bat reducing the zombie's Health by 10.
It's the killer blow and the fight is over.
The battle proved beneficial to your ability to attack with power and your Strength has increased.
The battle took its toll on your body and you hope that you don't encounter any more zombies.
You are fearful of heading down another flight of stairs after this encounter and you're curious about what you'll find on the 2nd floor.
You notice that the stairwell door is ajar and decide to see what's on the other side.

You step out into the 2nd floor corridor and are suddenly attacked by a zombie! SHIT!
The zombie strikes first and hits you strongly, reducing your Health by 1.2.
You start to fight back and land the perfect blow with your Baseball Bat reducing the zombie's Health by 11.
It's the killer blow and the fight is over.
You needed to move quickly in the battle and the practise has helped you - your Speed has increased.
You feel relief to have come out of the fight relatively unscathed and prepare to continue your journey.
You check the rest of the corridor and see a zombie moving towards you...
