Contest: My first steps in steemit| Fascinating so far, by @barna.uzoigwe

in hive-142140 •  3 years ago

Fellow Nursery Steemian, it is indeed my unreserved pleasure to be a part of this elementary contest titled "My First Steps in Steemit".

My name Barnabas Uzoigwe, with the username @barna.uzoigwe, participating in this contest all the way from Nigeria.
I strongly believe that this contest is aimed at exposing the newcomers to the experience of this great platform learning from the older Steemians already on board. I have closely studied how things work here by learning from those who are more experienced, they have their challenges with me and how they pulled through them. So, by participating in this contest, I look forward to exploring more and also becoming more equipped for the tasks ahead.
I became a Steemian on the 19th day of April, 2021, which is less than or approximately two months now, but believe me, it's been memorable, I appreciate the organisers of this contest, @saracampero, and @inspiracion, thank you, for this motivation and keep up the good work.

HOW DID YOU HEAR ABOUT STEEMIT?

Steemit was introduced to me by my friend @xkool24, We have known each other for 2 decades and presently are Colleagues in the same work environment. In March 2021, he told me about a blockchain and social media-like platform that rewards original posts and creative writings of anyone who is a member of it. He relayed to me the rules of engagement on the platform, and also elucidated the various communities that could teach and widen my knowledge of block-chain, because the reward that accrue from the platform is measured in a crypto coin known as STEEM. The whole explanation about Steemit from him was mind blowing that I decided to enquire further to learn more about Steemit and my findings didn't disappoint. So by April, I informed my friend @xkool24 of my conviction and readiness to join the platform he did tell me about, he signed me up, and from thence, the story of my journey on Steemit began.

My Grand Entrance into Steemit

WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT STEEMIT?

I think Steemit is absolutely inspiring, educative, rewarding, innovative as a platform. It also gives its members an avenue to invest and have value for every energy they put into the platform.
As a social media-like platform, it is a coloquim of sound minds from varying socio-cultural backgrounds, who can exchange valuable ideas within their community as well as socializing and learning new stuffs.
There is no room for idleness for any Steemian, you can spend your time wisely on this platform either learning, creating quality content or making investments that will surely pay off. Steemit is a motivator and in fact, the real deal.

HOW DID YOU DO WITH YOUR ACCOMPLISHMENTS IN THE NEWCOMERS COMMUNITY, AND WHICH ONE ARE YOU LOOKING FOR?

I have recently completed all the Achievement Tasks in the Newcomers Community. To achieve this milestone, I keenly studied the tutorial guide on the six tasks placed on the newcomers community notice by @cryptokannon and some other concerned senior steemians like @yohan2on and I was also mentored adequately by my friend @xkool24, who actually started this amazing Steemit voyage.
I looked forward to the Achievement 5 tasks then, but thankfully, they didn't fail to offer the key learnings and foundation that I sought about Steem blockchain tools.

WHAT THINGS HAVE YOU LEARNED THAT YOU DID NOT KNOW BEFORE COMING TO STEEMIT?

Learning on Steemit requires consistency, sacrifrice, due diligence, devotion etc. I can go on to list more of the virtues required to become a Steemian. Simply put, I've garnered these virtues by reason of joining the platform and have learnt how to be patient on this platform. I do research work now almost on daily basis, I can study and relate with individuals of diverse opinions and socialise positively with them.
On this platform, I have learnt how to articulate and produce quality contents of my own, through the help of the lesson from third Accomplishment task in the newcomers community as well as come to terms with the core values of being an independent writer.
I have elementary background of steem blockchain applications like the steemworld.org, steemscan.com, steemyy.com and can understand and analyse the operations of my Steemit account using them.
I now have the zeal to study and research more, just to keep my cerebral system alive and also knowing that there is a corresponding reward for the efforts invested to complete any work or posted writeup.
The lessons of this platform are so many that I could barely expanciate them on this very post for want of time

WHAT HAVE YOU NOT LEARNED YET OR DO NOT UNDERSTAND, AND WHAT ARE YOUR DOUBT ABOUT IT?

I have understudied both theoretically and practically how things work on Steemit and still learning because the platform is all encompassing and too vast. I am hoping to learn and get better with time but my interest is targeted at transforming into a Guru in cryptocurrency, I don't have any iota of doubt on it because I strongly believe in it.
I hope to learn a lot from the the crypto-academy on Steemit, that is why I have joined the PH Community.

NAME AT LEAST TWO NICE PEOPLE YOU'VE MET AND TELL US WHAT THEY DID TO WIN YOU OVER.

I am about two months old in Steemit and I have met quite a couple of nice people here.
Apart from @xkool24, who signed me up and has helpfully mentored my activities on this platform, the first person that I met who has also encouraged me to keep on steeming is @solar-star. She took me through the various communities on the Steemit platform and advised me on the ones to join, so I can be active, and increase my reputation.
I have also met @val123, an active Steemian in the Steemalive Community, who gave me insightful tips on how to participate in Dairy game and LID reports in Steemalive, and it is certainly not a waste of time, though time doesn't permit to be regular in reporting my dairy games but each time I do, it is worth the while.

WHAT USER DO YOU ADMIRE OR IS AN EXAMPLE TO FOLLOW FOR YOU?

I admire @steemchiller a lot. I commented about him a lot in my sixth achievement task especially with the amazing work he has done in designing the steemworld.org. The application is indeed amazing and I am forever grateful to him for providing such a wonderful navigation tool for our individual Steem accounts.

HOW DO YOU SEE YOURSELF IN SIX MONTHS ON STEEMIT, WHAT IS YOUR GOAL, AND HOW MANY STEEM POWER DO YOU EXPECT TO BUILD DURING THAT SIX MONTHS PERIOD?

In six months time, I wish to be a Prof in the Steemit crypto-academy, I aim to build up 3000SP through my author works and other meaningful contributions to the PH Community.

WHAT WILL YOU TELL A FRIEND TO JOIN STEEMIT?

I will describe steemit to my friends as a platform that rewards creative write-ups that meets the standards of the platform, teaches and widens the knowledge of block-chain, also gives the opportunity to invest in the platform with the accruing benefits.
Simply put, I educate my friends and siblings about steemit as a rewarding social platform for creative minds. It costs nothing to become a Steemian, "just be devoted and original"

I can share it on all the social groups I belong to because I am sure it will attract the interest of a few like minds.

Thank you.
