A BUSY DAY AT HOME/STEPS TO MAKE REPAIRS ON MY PARENTS ROOF, SUPPORT FOR MY UNCLE DURING HIS MOTHER INLAW BURIAL. By @benton3

Good day fellow steemians, it nice to get together with you once more. I am using this medium to tell you how my day went on the 7th of May 2021.

I left for my village after getting an urgent call from my dad about the situation of the roof of our house, where they live in my village. However, that emergency call coincided with my uncles mother inlaw burial.

First, i and my wife @ngoenyi left for the village on thursday evening and arrived. So in the morning of Friday we woke up quite early as we had so many things to do before the day elapsed.

I took my morning selfie, giving a report of how busy my day was going to be, and trully it was very busy. Below you can see the selfie i took in the morning.

Parents are very important in the life of everyone, and they have very great roles to play even when they are old. So it is our duty to respect and care for them during their old, in appreciation of the effort they put in to train us the children and in obedience to God's command. So we do not joke with them, and do the best to provide for them as much as we can, so that they can be happy for the little more time they have to live.

So I took the pictures of the roof of our house. I felt so bad, because, I know what it is like to live in a building that leaks water when it is raining. You can see some parts of it in the picture below. The early rains we had this year coupled with the waves that came with it, did much damage to the roof.

I invited a friend to give a brief estimate of what it will take to salvage the situation, and we found out that it is going to cost much. So we decided to take the work step by step. First, to get there own apartment fixed, then after that, can now do the other parts of the building. We decided to get some bundles of roofing sheet, for their side, since that side can be fixed faster before we then start to work on the main building.
Thanks to steemit, I was able to sell some liquid steem I have available to pay for part of the cost of the roofing sheet while I will still need to purchase the woods and other things for fixing it. The picture below shows the place I and my dad were buying the roofing sheet.

We still need to get the woods before work can start on that side of the building. This I will buy once I am through with the payment for the roofing sheet.

Immediately after that, we started getting ready for the burial, and we waited for my other uncles to aririve in our house, so that we can leave together.

After spending sometime there and consoling them, we headed home. At home, one of my uncles and parents gave us a treat with their dancing steps.

When my uncles finally left, I and @ngoenyi started getting things ready for the soup we wanted to cook for my parents.

There after we ate, and had a long chat with my parents before we retired for the night.

The day was trully busy yet very inspiring.
