Hello dear friends, today I want to talk to you about the importance of increasing Steem Power, and why it is convenient for our accounts.

If you are a newcomer, this information will be of interest to you, I will explain about these basic concepts and how they relate to each other:

Let's start with the Steem Power:

Steem Power

Many of the current supports on Steemit are designed for users to increase their Steem Power.

Steem Power is what makes an account strong, that your vote counts, and not only that, but also the healing rewards are higher.

So the higher Steem Power, the higher the rewards.

For a new account the main goal should be to increase your SP, at least at first. I would recommend them to power up with 100% of their rewards, and after they have increased their Steem Power considerably, I would say, having 500 SP, they can start powering up with 50% of their rewards. But this is left to the discretion of each person.

A newcomer receives an account with 15 SP and this is very little to be able to publish, vote and make comments, it is enough for approximately 4 posts daily . It is necessary to have more SP to be able to move within the system and be able to generate a greater interaction that is necessary to produce what is known as Engagement.

Engagement

Engagement is a term that refers more than anything to the level of interaction within the network.

It occurs when we vote and comment on others. The more votes and comments we make, we are contributing to the engagement within the platform.

If we do not do this, we are not fulfilling a large part of the game that corresponds to us within the system.

For example, there are people who interpret Steemit as a platform to publish and receive votes, and forget the other part that refers to their activity of Voting and commenting and that is what starts the gear of the system.

A newcomer can and should do 10 votes per day and 4 comments per day, minimum. Because this is what your SP allows you. It is also the way in which you can start to make a community within the platform.

It is by commenting and voting for others that we leave a trace of our activity. Likewise, by responding to comments and returning visits and votes, we are creating and weaving a network.

This network is fundamental because it is through hundreds of interactions that the platform is brought to life, and I am talking about real interactions. Comments are not worth "good publication", but those that generate interest and more comments.

Vote and comment and CSI level

Within the Steemit system, as I have been telling you, what makes the wheel turn, are the votes, this is what mobilizes the system at all its levels. An account that doesn't vote is wasting its SP.

One way to make that SP useful is by delegating the communities of your choice to contribute to the system.

We can also make manual votes, but these will be more profitable while covering more quality content, for example, it is not the same to always vote for the same 5 authors, than to vote for 70 authors in a week, for example.

The CSI measures the level of interaction, that is, the diversity of content (authors) that we have been voting on. The more diversity, the greater our CSI.
This value is taken into account to participate in events such as SPUD4STEEM.

These are examples of CSI:
This person could have 70 votes granted, which is the minimum in 7 days, but they have given 36 votes to 21 accounts, so we see a low CSI of 2.4:

Significant support

However, I must add that voting at 5% or 10% is not the same as casting a vote at 30%. The CSI measures diversity, but not actual support. So we must also be aware if the support we give is significant, or not.

This also applies to Voting Power. It is not the same to vote with a Voting Power at 70%, 60%, (I have seen users voting with a VP at 30%) because such a low Voting Power does not generate significant support either.

The ideal is to vote with a Voting power of at least 80%.

Voting and commenting is one of the main bases of Steemit.

Vote and comment.

When you comment don't forget to vote, a comment without a vote can be interpreted as Spam or as having no real value.

Distribute your votes on different accounts, expanding the range of support to other accounts is positive for your CSI level.

Try to make your support significant, giving votes with a Voting power that is not less than 80%.

Comencemos con el Steem Power:

Steem Power

Muchos de los apoyos existentes en Steemit actualmente, están diseñados para que los usuarios aumenten su Steem Power.

El Steem Power es lo que hace que una cuenta sea fuerte, que su voto tenga valor, y no solo eso, también las recompensas por curación son mayores.

Entonces a mayor Steem Power, mayores son las recompensas.

Para una cuenta nueva el objetivo principal debería ser aumentar su SP, al menos al principio. Les recomendaría que hagan Power Up con el 100% de sus recompensas, y ya luego de haber aumentado de forma considerable su Steem Power, yo diría, al tener 500 SP, pueden empezar a hacer power up con el 50% de sus recompensas. Pero esto queda a criterio luego de cada quien.

Un recién llegado recibe una cuenta con 15 SP y esto es muy poco para poder publicar, votar y hacer comentarios, alcanza para aproximadamente 4 publicaciones diarias. Es necesario tener más SP para poder movilizarse dentro del sistema y poder generar una mayor interacción que es necesaria para producir lo que se conoce como el Engagement.

Engagement

El Engagement es un término que se refiere más que todo al nivel de interacción dentro de la red.

Se produce cuando Votamos y Comentamos a otros. Mientras más votos y comentarios hacemos, estamos contribuyendo al engagement dentro de la plataforma.

Si no realizamos esto, no estamos cumpliendo con una gran parte del juego que nos corresponde dentro del sistema.

Por ejemplo, hay personas que interpretan Steemit como una plataforma para publicar y recibir votos, y olvidan la otra parte que se refiere a su actividad de Votar y comentar y que es lo que pone en marcha el engranaje del sistema.

Un recién llegado puede y debería hacer 10 votos diariamente y 4 comentarios diarios, como mínimo. Porque esto es lo que le permite su SP. Además es la forma en la que puede empezar a hacer comunidad dentro de la plataforma.

Es comentando y votando a otros que vamos dejando un rastro de nuestra actividad. Igualmente al responder comentarios y devolver visitas y votos, vamos creando y tejiendo una red.

Esta red es fundamental porque es a través de cientos de interacciones que se da vida a la plataforma, y hablo de interacciones reales. No valen los comentarios “buena publicación”, sino aquellos que generan interés y más comentarios.

Votar y comentar y el nivel de CSI

Dentro del sistema de Steemit como les vengo diciendo, lo que hace girar la rueda, son los votos, esto es lo que moviliza el sistema en todos sus niveles. Una cuenta que no realiza votos está desperdiciando su SP.

Una manera de hacer que ese SP sea útil, es delegando a las comunidades de su preferencia para contribuir al sistema.

También podemos hacer votos manuales, pero estos serán más provechosos mientras abarque a mas contenidos de calidad, por ejemplo, no es lo mismo votar siempre a las mismos 5 autores, que votar a 70 autores en una semana, por ejemplo.

El CSI mide el nivel de interacción es decir la diversidad de contenido (autores) que hemos estado votando. A mayor diversidad, mayor será nuestro CSI.
Este valor se toma en cuenta para participar en eventos como SPUD4STEEM.

Estos son ejemplos de CSI:
Esta persona podría tener 70 votos otorgados que es lo mínimo en 7 días, pero ha dado 36 votos a 21 cuentas, por eso vemos un CSI bajo, de 2.4:

Luego tenemos este ejemplo en el cual se otorgo 120 votos a 85 cuentas, durante los últimos 7 días, así que vemos un CSI de 15, lo cual es bastante bueno:

Apoyo significativo

Sin embargo, debo añadir que no es lo mismo hacer un voto al 5% o 10% que al 30%. El CSI mide la diversidad, pero no el apoyo real. Así que también debemos ser conscientes si el apoyo que damos es significativo, o no.

Esto también se aplica al Voting Power. No es lo mismo votar con un Voting Power al 70%, 60%, (he visto usuarios votando con un VP al 30%) porque un Voting power tan bajo, no genera un apoyo significativo tampoco.

Lo ideal es votar con un Voting power como mínimo al 80%.

Les animo a hacer crecer su cuenta haciendo Power Up.

Votar y comentar es una de las bases principales de Steemit.

Cuando comente no olvides votar, un comentario sin voto se puede interpretar como Spam o como sin valor real.

Distribuye tus votos en diferentes cuentas, ampliar el rango de apoyo a otras cuentas es positivo para tu nivel de CSI.

Trata de que tu apoyo sea significativo, dando votos con un Voting Power que no sea inferior a 80%.
