Hello my wonderful friends and fellow steemians, it is my delight to make my entry I. This amazing contest by @steemitnersery. A journey of a million miles starts with a step and my journey to steemit started with a step also. Please, do give me audience let me share how I got herewith you.

The Genesis of my journey

This was my introduction picture. My story will not be complete without this particular picture. I got it from my gallery. I find it hard to delete it.

Ever since lock down here in Nigeria on March 2020, I have been searching for an online platform that will pay me to enable me assist my family to care for our needs. This need became very urgent when my husband list his job just before the lock down and it was this my husband's job that brought us here in my present city, Uyo AKwa Ibom State. It was just a year we came in and have not known much people here. So I joined some online businesses and sharing the link with with my friends on whatsapp. I forwarded one to @focusnow on 24th July 2020. See screen shot below for the start of our conversation

Then he introduced a blogging platform to me. Look at what he told me on the screen shot below

I told him to explain how it works and still encouraged him to register in gram free via the link I sent to him. See his response below

MY JOURNEY BEGAN

I asked series of questions and expressed my fears, but he patiently answered all and even promised to mentor me. The idea sounded good to me and I agreed. I told him to help me sign up of which he did. I started and I posted my introduction post on 25th July which was the next day.

After that he told me about the diary game season 2 that was to begin by August 1 and told me how to go about it. I was still afraid but I mustered up courage and started it. It was going well but after a little while, still in the month of August, I told him that I have examined by self and that I don't think I can be able to meet up with this writing of a thing. But he still encouraged me to try the best I could.

Well, even though I was slow in learning how to post, I still managed to continue. Gradually, I was made team 3 leader for @steemalive for the purpose of the diary game season 2. I started picking up, I was still asking some questions where I am not cleared. He will still put me through patiently and humbly.

What really helped me to continue was because I decided to focus on learning how to blog instead of the rewards that I had in mind when I was looking for online businesses. I told myself that this is another school of learning, let me learn. And of a truth, I was learning and the reward was still dropping in my wallet but I don't even visit my wallet then.

After sometime, he encouraged me to participate in @spud4steem on 1st September with my fiat, since I was also looking for where to invest the little cash I made from my handkerchief production. I accepted and guess what? I won 4th place. @Steemit became more interesting as I was getting more upvotes from the #steemit teams. It became more and more wonderful to me. My enthusiasm for steemit made my husband to become interested and he also joined.

And today, I will boldly say that I have Learned a lot about writing and posting that I can even share the good news with others and they too join it is amazing! But, not withstanding, I am not perfect yet, I am still learning and I make use of every opportunity that cones my way to keep improving in my writing and posting skills. I have won so many contests and gotten so many rewards even as I am still trying to perfect here in steemit. Imagine if I am able to perfect like my mentor and every other big players here, it will Really be wonderful.

My dear friends, this was how i got to this wonderful ecosystem called @steemit. So far so good, there is nothing to regret at all. The only regret I have is not joining early. But I have constraints in terms of getting laptop and having steady power supply. I have been using my smart phone to write and Post and I will like to get a laptop to speed up my activities. Then, since power holders can not be relied upon, I will work at raising fiat money for petrol. Apart from these constraints, I am ready and willing to work round the clock steeming my way. It is fun to me now.
