Big shopping

Today I made a huge grocery shopping, which should last for a few days. I bought 8 kg of tomatoes and tomorrow I'm going to make puree, concentrate and ketchup of it.

Together, everything weighed around 20 kg. I don't know how I managed to bring it home, but it wasn't easy. Since today, call me Hulk 😋

As you can see, almost none of the products are in plastic packages. I always go to the greengrocer with my own bags, and I avoid plastic whenever possible for the sake of our planet and future generations.

Delicious lunch

Today was my turn to cook. Since I had already bought so many tomatoes, I made the decision to prepare Polish tomato soup. It was a great idea - everyone liked it very much. My partners ate three plates of soup and could eat three more if not the limited space in their stomaches. You too can try to cook Polish tomato soup at home. I have published the recipe here.

When I cook, I always make the same mistake: I cook far too much, just in case of unexpected guests. But that's okay, extra soup is waiting in the fridge and we'll eat it tomorrow.

Steemit activity

Besides mentioned soup recipe, which I published in Steemitfoods, I also wrote the second part of the article about the trip to Salar de Uyuni in Bolivia, where I described the most interesting attractions in the region and included some photos from our trip to that place.

Additionally, I decided to make a marathon of reading The Diary Game. It took me almost three hours, so I definitely cannot make it every day, but I'm going to do it from time to time.
I read 50 English-language entries, the vast majority were from Pakistan, India and Bangladesh. I commented on 50% of them and up-voted some of the best. My vote is very low value so far, but I intend to invest more in steem power over time.

Most Steem users seems to celebrate the third day of Eid, the Muslim holiday. People visit friends, pray, spend time with their family and play cricket that day. I heard about Eid for the first time from Steemit and I am very grateful that the website has expanded my cultural knowledge about traditions and beliefs from other parts of the world.
