Greeting everyone,
This will be my first post ever written in "A better life with steem." I think it is never too late to start anything that you love. It has a seven unique themes that are so amazing even to think about. However, one of themes "Mind, Body and Spirit" sounds very pleasing to me.
Everything that i write down here will be entirely based upon my personal experiences, observations, research and study. If it turns out be same as of others, it will just be a coincidence.
In spiritual terms, Mind is an Universe. Anything that comes out of you is from your mind. Mind has a huge capacity to store your thoughts, literally anything impossible that could turn into possibility by imagination. I believe our mind needs some sort of exercise so that it keeps building an empire of our imagination.
Spirit is invisible part of us. It is the courage, attitude, quality, emotion and determination. It is something that keep us alive through ups and downs in twist and turns of our lives.
Body is what represents us. It is where our mind and spirit resides. It can be considered as the outward menifestation of our spiritual experiences. So, mind, body and spirit are intertwined. If one deteriorates, the other two will be effected too. Mind, body and spirit should be in balance so that we can have a good health.
I woke up at dawn, got out of bed and headed for washroom. I started doing some stretching as always. After half hour, i prepare a glass of luke warm water with Apple Cider Vineger. I consider it myself to be my morning tea. I do not take tea, unless it is green tea.
I prefer hiking as a mean of keeping myself pysically fit. It also helps me to be mentally alert. Every drop of sweats of mine is like i am releasing the toxins out of me which eventually makes me feel so happy. I usually give a walk if i am going uphill and do running if i am going downhill. Walking through a dense forest, sweet chirping sound of the birds, and the buzzing sound of the insects makes me feel like listening to some sort of music with its unique rhythm. It literally makes me want to dance when i am walking. In addition, we can see some streams flowing through down the road and the sound it produces gives me a sense of relief to my mind.
We all have been living busy life with our job. At the weekends, i manage a time to get out there into the forest. A little far away from the concrete jungle that we have been linving in. A forest where you see the greeneries all around when you turn your head. We will not get to see such a landscape in our daily life which is only limited to th pictures hanging on the wall of your home or office. So, managing a time out of hectic life to enter into the oxygen rich green enviroment has got lots of health benefits. .
Today, i plan to go for a hike through LUNG MUN COUNTRY TRAIL.
So, at 10a.m, i did a breakfast
I started at 11a.m. It is not that long trail which is about 7.6 kms which is at 200 meters walk away from my apartment. This trail is one of the best trails i have ever found in hong kong. It can be used for walking, jogging, running, even for a family walk. The track is almost plain with some steepy at certain few points. It took me 2.5 hours to complete the trail. The fresh breeze that gets into your lungs through the hills ends up giving me a good feeling by the end of trail. As i sat down at the end of the trail, i must have been smelled like a flower. I could see a bee roaming around by body and sometimes landing over my body. I got a chance to take a picture at the right time when it got landed on my finger.
I came home at 4 P.M. feeling a bit exhausted. prepared a cup of decent coffee brewed at home by myself without milk and sugar. Standing at a window looking out and seeing the rainfall. It feels so wonderful that i made the best out of the day by putting aside all the stress and anxiety that got accumulated through the weekdays.
Therefore, we must be attentive to take good care of the body, because taking care of the body is not to just take care of you, but to take care of your mind and spirit. This is the way i live at least once in a week.
