this is in Coober Pedy, an opal mining town in the middle of nowhere, in the middle of the desert. It gets over 50 deg C for months during summer, so to survive the heat all the people who live there live underground, in houses dug out of the limestone. We are sitting in such a chamber ten Metres under the ground!
