My blogging experience on steemit platform/ 100% powered up

Greetings to everyone here I'm super excited to participate in this contest.
My blogging experience on the steemit platform has not been all that juicy, but it has sure been an interesting one.

When I joined the steemit platform on may this year, I had very little knowledge about the dynamics of a blockchain network. I've always thought they were means of defrauding people, I never really sat down to study the nitty gritty.

After my introductory post which had 0 payout, I got frustrated and tired of the platform as I didn't really have someone to guide and motivate me, I locked up and moved on to other things. One day a friend of mine in school @joelmaxwell who introduced me to the platform received a credit alert of a huge sum and when I inquire to know were he got it, he said it was from his payout on steemit, I thought to myself if I can be having this sort of payout every week what is writing that I cannot write. But I was wrong, I never knew it wasn't just about posting good write up, but about being consistent and smart.

I made my second return to the platform on june after One month of absence, this time with a lot of courage and enthusiasm with the I can do spirit.
5 posts in one week wasn't a bad number to start with, to revive my almost dead steemit career and push it back on track, but I wasn't lucky enough either, to receive the booming support or get upvoted, as all expired with a 0.00$ payout. I was really angry and disappointed as I had expected to cashout atleast 1SBD, but none came.

In one of my rare occasions of taking time to read peoples post, I stumbled on a post on the campus connect community which was about being active, consistent and building steem for the future. After going through the post, my mentality changed. Initially I thought steemit was where I can just come make post, get paid and zoom off. But now, my understanding has widen as I now see the bigger picture of a socialised blockchain network aimed at building a stronger community through meaningful contributions of individuals as outlined in the steem white paper.

Ever since then my aim is to build the community through my meaningful contents. I now do frequent power ups with the little steem I get from contests such as this.
