Since 1984 Petr Petrovich Garyaev started his research in the field of genetic coding and by 1994 he created a new trend in genetics - Wave Genetics, and then Linguistic - Wave Genetics. In 1997 Peter P. Garyaev defended his doctoral thesis on this subject at Bauman Moscow State Technical University on the line of VMAC. He was elected a member of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences and RAMTN and a member of the New York Academy of Sciences. In 2013 Peter Petrovich Garyaev established the Institute of Quantum Genetics LLC.
While working at the Institute of Physical and Technical Problems of the USSR Academy of Sciences (1984-1998) as a senior researcher and head of the group, Petr Garyaev discovered two previously unknown unusual types of DNA molecule memory. This was fixed by the method of correlation laser spectroscopy.
