사마천의 사기열전을 읽다보니
다음과 같은 구절이 있다.
성공하고, 잘나보이고 싶은 욕망으로 가득한 세상에서
그 욕구를 겨냥한,
그럴듯해 보이는 다양한 책이나 미디어들이 있지만
실제로 도움되는 것을 얻고 싶을때는 도움이 되지 않는다.
그 이유가 뭘까?
이미 답이 정해져 있기 때문이다.
조용히 물러나서
정신을 수양하려는 목적이라면 모를까
뭔가를 얻어 보겠다고 나섰을때는
이미, 어느정도 성공여부가 정해져 있다는 이야기다.
DJ가 육체적, 정신적으로 왕성했을때
일부에서는 압도적 지지를 받았지만
더 많은 곳에서 압도적으로 거부당했다.
이유가 뭘까?
