An Insignis Dragonfly on the Twig

in hive-144064 •  3 years ago

This time I am coming up with a dragonfly. This typical dragonfly is classified into Agrionoptera, a genus of dragonflies in the family Libellulidae. This species can be found across India, Southeast Asia, and the Pacific, mostly live in tropical Asia and Australasia. Interestingly, this species has multi-color, where the abdomen tip is dominantly black, and the head and thorax are light bright green. As we commonly know that the dragonfly has large wings and it is also possessed by this dragonfly. If we take a closer look, we can see that the eyes of this species are yellow (brown on top) and the thorax has mottled yellow markings and black dots.
