Hello @STEEMERS, its @dreeyor. It’s a pleasure to be joininy this beautiful community. I’m David Ariyo writing from nigeria and this is my second post on steem. There’s still a lot to learn about steem but I happy I found somewhere I could showcase my creativity on this blockchain.I’m self training myself in digital arts and also still a novice in pen art. I made quite a number of digital arts on Hive but I’m still in need of a non social site for me to showcase my art. I might need someone’s help on that. If youre on hive you can as well follow @dreeyor .
Here’s one of my recently completed artwork from today. I actually made this in a hurry so I could meet up for my Jamb training. I hope you like it.

Process:

1. First i thought of what I wanted to create. I imagined a man staring at something with a smile on his face. Drawing that was kinda hard cos my mouse seems to be having a fault with the wires. I managed to complete the outline of the man though.
2. I thought of a nice setting that would fit the man. I was thinking of drawing a little garden but that would not be a day job anymore so I made the setting a room. i drew the curtains and added a flowervase and soon I was ready to start painting.
3. On starting to paint using the fill tool I found out I had unclosed gaps in the lines which I had to join so that I do not end up painting the whole screen with a single colour. After that I painted the man’s outfits in a colour layer.
4. next I coloured the man’s face and the enviroment. I tought gold would best fit the wall since I used yellow for the curtains. I’m not good with colours yet but I was able to find nice colours.
5. for final I added shadows where I thought was necessary using the watercolour(wet) tool. I also highlited some the man’s forehead and he flower vase plus I added lightimg to the environment. I still have to trian myself more on that, I wasn’t able to make it like I pictured but still I was able to finish it in time.
