Ingredients:
1 cup of room temperature yogurt
1/2 cup of vegetable oil
1 packet of vanilla extract
1 packet of baking powder
2 cups of all-purpose flour
1 cup of granulated sugar
2-3 tablespoons of cocoa powder (optional)
Instructions:
In a mixing bowl, whisk together the vegetable oil and yogurt until well combined. Add the granulated sugar and continue whisking until the mixture reaches a creamy consistency.
Add the vanilla extract, baking powder, and cocoa powder (if using) to the bowl. Mix everything together until the ingredients are thoroughly incorporated.
Gradually add the all-purpose flour to the bowl while stirring continuously. Mix until you have a smooth cake batter consistency.
Pour the batter into a greased cake pan and place it in a preheated oven at 170 degrees Celsius (340 degrees Fahrenheit).
Bake the cake for approximately 35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Once baked, remove the cake from the oven and let it cool in the pan for a few minutes. Then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.
Optionally, you can dust the cooled cake with powdered sugar or frost it with your favorite icing before serving.
