Independence of Bangladesh was achieved through a long nine-month liberation war, and this Bangladesh Victory Day is December 16. On December 16, 1971, Bangladesh gained independence after fighting the invading Pakistani forces. Our golden Bangladesh was born in exchange of the blood of 30 lakh martyrs. We earn the red green flag. So it is celebrated on 16th December every year to honor and respect the martyrs. December 16 Victory Day Victory. On this day, we deeply respect the brave martyrs of Bengal. In exchange for the blood of the brave children, we can live in the independent country called Bangladesh today.
| Today, on the occasion of Great Victory Day, our Sirajganj martyrs were greeted with flowers at the memorial. On December 16, Bengali heroes are remembered with respect. And they are honored with these flowers out of love for them. So I saw martyrs being remembered with flowers. |

| We got this golden bangla in exchange of an ocean of blood. Sonarbangla has been established in exchange for the blood of heroic martyrs. We did not achieve the red-green flag either. Through the streets stained with my brother's blood, I have earned this red and green flag. In fact, on the occasion of the Great Victory Day, I deeply remember those martyrs. |
