A trip to Indian Railways

Greetings to all, today I am sharing few pictures that I took when I visited Majestic Railways aka Krantivira Sangoli Rayanna(KSR) Benguluru Station which is situated in Bangalore, India. I had to go the railways for my open elective assignment, had to take pictures and tell the story through them. I really enjoyed taking pictures while observing the surroundings. I mostly travel by train but never really paid attention. I think I was able to understand the lives that reside on the railways, the lives that are able to survive because of the railways, the stories that collide together from across the country on the railways. It was a beautiful experience and I would like to share my photograph with you all.

This is a picture taken from inside the train. Indian railways have a long long history tracing back to when Britishers ruled India. It is because of them that we have one of the largest railways in the world.

This is a picture showcasing a railway worker sweeping the floor. The picture taken in black and while puts spotlight on her.

Here, bunch of railway workers are working hard to load the water bottles onto the train so that they can be later served to the passengers.

These ladies police officers are here to protect the railways or look after the visitors/passengers. It is actually happy to see Indian government give this type of profession to ladies.

This is a picture of garbage collector at railways. These people should be respected and never looked down, it is because of them that the railways are clean and neat and they definitely should be appreciated for their hard work.
