Leaf Rolling Artist - Attalabidae

When you take a walk in the yard, park or garden. Do you see the leaf roll? Well, this is not the work of an artist who may have an artistic spirit, nor is it the work of someone who is lazy and has no activity. However, this is the work of insects, namely the Attelabidae roller beetle. When the leaves of the plant are rolled up in such a way, it looks beautiful at first glance. However, this is the nest where the beetle lives, which is also used as a place to lay eggs for breeding needs.

Although the beetle looks like an artist, it is actually a pest to the plant itself. Because a few days after the leaves are rolled, the leaves will wither, dry, and then die. Today when I was beside the garage to park the vehicle, I saw an Attelabidae beetle on one of the flowers in front of the garage. I also took advantage of this moment for me to take pictures, and the funny thing is that when I took the picture, it turned out that the beetle was defecating, this also added a unique impression to the pictures I took.
