How are you all my friends, I hope we are all healthy and happy today, Tonight I will show you some photos of a wooden cockroach that I found in a resident's garden near my village.
Hemithyrsocera palliata is a species of cockroach endemic to the South Asia. It has a shining dark brown color and is about 12 mm (⁄2 in) long. Its pronotum is sub-elliptical and is black with a golden yellow margin.
In contrast to home cockroaches in general, they have a flatter and shiny body, while this wooden cockroach has a fatter shape and a characteristic white ring around its neck, its habitat is also in trees and is actively moving.
I also had a bit of a hard time photographing this cockroach, after getting some photos of him flying away from me, so here are the photos that I show tonight, I hope you like it.
